We’re all familiar how auctions go. People bid on an item and the highest bidder wins. Simple! But, the price can go so high that most of the regular folks can’t even have a chance to bid. How about if you bid for an item, and the bidder with the lowest unique bid will win? Wouldn’t that be great?? And it’s now happening in Bid4Prizes.com! Their prizes include Apple IPhones, HDTVs, designer bags to cash prizes.
Aside from auctions, the site also offers free gifts. I’m sure you can’t resist a freebie so go and visit Bid4Prizes.com now! Also they run a daily sweepstakes so there’s a cash winner everyday. Wow! Sounds really good! And last but not the least, there will be an all-new Bid4Prizes Game coming to your boobtube this October. Check out the photo ad below. The game will be on Fox. Watch out for it and don’t get addicted y’hear??
Here are my good friends in our get-togethers early September. Jinky (in red), Chin (in white), Ger (male in red) and JB (in blue) are my friends way back from high school. The premade cutie pink template is from AntJe's Scrap Corner. Love it! And best of all, it's FREE! =) So if you're into digital scrapbooking, go to her site. Lots of good stuff there! A bit of warning: the site is in German. Hehe!

GAWD! This is just a terrible day! I have many articles to pass and there's no electricity since this morning! Actually, the blackout was intermittent. The lights go out and go back every 30 minutes or so since 8am till now. Though I do not want to use the pc (for fear it will be damaged by the unstable power source), I have no choice coz I have to email several articles to my employer. Sigh! Should have finished all articles yesterday ba! =( Anyway, I just tuned it to the news and it turned out that the blackout affected the whole of Southern Mindanao, and not just Davao City. There was apparently a technical malfunction in one of the power stations *shakes head* I hope they fix the problem soon. It really sucks when there's no electricity! =(
Are you suffering from wanderlust? Feeling the need to soar and travel around the world? But afraid of facing the booking problems associated with traveling? Well, we all know how hard it is to book a flight, reserve a hotel, rent a car, etc, etc in a new place. Sure, travel agencies can do these jobs but they charge exorbitant fees for their services. That’s just ok if you’re mega-rich but what about the rest of us? We want decent flights and hotel rooms but at affordable rates. Enter the internet. Most backpackers (those who travel on shoestring budget) knew that ONLINE booking and hotel reservations will get you the cheapest deals anywhere. But finding legitimate websites that offer these services prove to be daunting to travelers new to the internet. Well guys, fret no more coz HotelReservations.com is here!
The greatest thing in this website is that it offers more than hotel reservations despite their site’s name. They offer packages with airplane flights, car rentals, even tours! How cool is that?? Though you could also choose the combination you want while searching for deals, i.e. flights and tours only or car rental and resort only, etc. I tried the site and compared the prices they quoted for my searches against other travel sites, and boy, were they competitive! Most price quotes were cheaper, some were at par with the other sites. But the HotelReservations.com doesn’t stop there, they also offer discounts on top of their cheap prices. And that applies to worldwide destinations. Yes my dears, this site is not limited to the US or Europe, but worldwide! I tell you, this site is really great. But why continue reading here when you can check out the site and see for yourself? Go and try their travel searches, you might be tempted to travel with their cheap prices! =) And the next time you want hotel discounts, or more than that, use their website first for better deals okay?
What's a MoBlog? The word means mobile blogging, or blogging from your phone or other mobile devices. Actually I've been blogging through my phone about 3 years ago via my phone carrier's G-Blogs. There was no wap or gprs in my phone then so I'd sent my blog posts via text. Neat huh?? However Globe's server became so slow (can't cope up with the demand) that I eventually neglected the site. So much for blogging through my phone! Hehe!
Anyway, weeks ago, I posted here that I got a new phone (Sony Ericsson K800i) and that its best feature is the ability to photo blog. I was ecstatic about that coz I also love to take photos! I was thinking that I'd travel to exotic places and share its beautiful sceneries instantly via photo blogging. Exotic places my ass! LOL! So far, I've been posting my face in my MoBlog, hehe! =p The ability of my phone to photo blog is thru the help of Blogger (which Google acquired). You can view my site here: yes, it's ME! and you can also view it in your wap or gprs-enabled phones. The blog is phone friendly, meaning it will load quickly in your phone's browser. For all Globe subscribers, there's a promo of P0.075 per kb in browsing non-Globe sites. Dirt cheap rates so hurry and visit my MoBlog now! =)

No, the title is not of wrong grammar. It’s my take on MTV’s ultra-cool car show Pimp My Ride! If you haven’t seen it, you should. You’ll learn a lot of stuff about improving (pimping) your car to attract the chicks you dig. Lol! The show also has good bits about coverage for sports car. You know, those ultra-pricey cars that look so cool and runs so fast – then bang! It hits another car. Bye-bye pretty car! Bye-bye loads of money, which will go to expensive car repairs. But thank god you’re smarter than the average MTV bloke! You actually bought your sports car several auto insurance plans just to make sure you got everything covered. After all, the sports car is the centerpiece of your life, lol!
Seriously, car insurance is a very important matter that you should discuss with your children once they get their own car at 18 (or earlier), even if their first car is just second-hand and barely running. Truth is, insurance coverage for cars is a must these days, what with crazy speeding drivers and all! A car insurance will protect you from further expenditures if you meet a driving accident (god forbid!) and other such horrid matters. For your young adults who are so into driving, there is a so-called Teen Driver Auto Policy. Follow the link if you’d like to know more about it. As for the PINK car above, it’s not mine so I don’t know if it’s covered by insurance, hehe! I just saw it in a mall’s garage and I thought it looked gorgeous, so I snapped a pic of it and there it is! =) I just hope “her” owner got “her” covered. It’d be a waste to see a cutie car go to the dumpsite coz the owner can’t afford to have it repaired. Sigh!
Today marks the sixth year anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks in the United States of America. I was in 4th year college when it happened. I was studying for an exam while watching the news. Suddenly, the regular programming was interrupted with a live feed from New York. I can see one tall building with smoke on its top portion then I saw a plane hitting another tall building. The next thing I knew, the first building collapsed and there was mass hysteria everywhere. It was not a pretty sight and I still get goosebumps everytime I remember that scene. Nearly 3000 people died that day and 20 of them were hardworking Filipinos. Wars have been waged to “correct” the wrongs done. But personally, I don’t think we’ll ever be safe. For as long as there are people who support terrorists, there can be no end. Even if President Bush will wage the “war to end all wars”. But then, that’s just my two cents, what’s yours?
OMG!!! Apple just lopped $200 off the $599 iPhone, a whopping 33% reduction!!! It came as a surprise to me coz the price cut came less than 10 weeks after the most wanted cellular phone went on sale last June 29. Of course I'm ecstatic coz I can afford it this time. Thanks to my earnings via get-paid-to blog sites, happy! =) Here's a news video of the price cut which angered the early buyers, prompting Apple to offer them $100 credits in Apple stores. Whoa!! Apple sure is caring about their customers, lol!

Aside from my life going sedentary, yummy food is available to me 24/7! Goodness! My low bmr and increased food intake will definitely equal to weight gain, huhu! =( I don’t wanna gain weight coz it won’t match my petite figure. Thus, starting today, I promise to watch what I eat and count the calories. Perhaps, I’ll use this free calorie counter online to keep me on track. There's also a calorie chart that will serve as your guide on how much calories each food you consume. Tsk, I never thought I'd be a calorie counter (i.e. someone who counts calories, hehe). It seemed so tedious to me when I was younger. But now, I gotta do what I gotta do to keep my figure, lol! And of course, I promise to be active again. No more sitting in front the pc for hours. Gotta move baby! =) The photo above was my lunch the other day: spiced ham sandwich with lettuce. Yummy and HEALTHY!!!
For those still looking for their own “the one”, there are many free dating sites available at your disposal. JustSayHi.com is one of them but unlike other dating sites, this one is truly FREE. No credit card is ever required for you to avail of their features, which is as good as those in paid dating sites. Yep, this is free dating at its best! So whoever said there’s no such thing as free lunch? The folks in JustSayHi.com have just given you one! And if you’re still looking for “the one”, give their site a try – it’s their mission to help people like you find the relationships that matter.. =)
As for me, I’m lucky coz I have a good relationship with someone I’m very compatible with. We have been going steady for nearly 8 years, and I wouldn’t trade the months and days I’ve spent with him. Back in the days when we first met, free online dating means meeting someone online and chatting up a storm, usually via mIRC. You’re lucky if you meet someone that shares your interests and passions coz there were no “compatibility filters” back then. You chatted with someone coz you thought his/her handle or nick was unique, or that his/her pickup line was clever. And then you got to know the person better, and you find out you’re not compatible. Time and effort wasted. But fortunately for me, I found someone who complements me. I think he is “the one”.
I love to read books of any kind. I'm always constantly looking for book bargains in bookshops and used-goods stores. I've used online buy&sell portals like davaosale.com and ebay.ph to buy hard-to-find books at cheaper prices. And so far, I've been more than satisfied with my finds! =) But as they say, the best things in life are free. That got me thinking, "Can I get a free book online??" The answer? A big YES!!! At first I just downloaded free ebooks on the internet, some of them pirated. LOL! But I persisted looking for that elusive free physical book. My search led me to BookMooch. And man, was I addicted! =)
BookMooch works like a charity site. You give away your books to earn points and using your points, you can request or mooch a book you want from another user. Nice concept huh?? The site is very simple to use but features-packed unlike other book swapping sites which have become commercialized. And NO, this is not a sponsored post, lol! :p I'm writing this because I truly love their FREE service. I've been in BookMooch for more than a year and received 5 books already. One from SIngapore and four from the Philippines. There was even one Filipino user, Nikki, who has a great offer. Mooch 3 books from her and you'll receive 1 point from her. That's equivalent to 1 free book! So it's like you get free 3 books, and get another for FREE again! Free ~ Free ~ Free, all free! What could be better than that?? So if you're a bookworm, join BookMooch now and let's start mooching! =)
