Here in our country, customer service isn't really that hot a "service". Most of the companies' employees here (even if not in customer service department) will help you when you ask for help in a nice way. However, there are also some who won't give you the time of their day. And I'm sad to say that we mostly get this kind of treatment in government offices. Tsk!
